The Vajra Cutter Sutra: Freeing ourselves from the Illusory Suffering World
“As a star, a visual aberration, a lamp, an illusion, dew, a bubble, a dream, lightning, and a cloud—view all the compounded like that.” In this sutra Subhūti asks the Buddha how one should practice and control one’s mind. The Vajra Cutter sutra captures Buddha’s answer, touching extensively on the ‘wisdom gone beyond’: the only way to truly free ourselves from the causes of our suffering.
Teaching to be screened on Lhabab Duchen, Saturday 7th November. Visit the centre or
study group above for more information.
Overcoming Fear: Meditations to prepare for Death and the Bardo
What happens to us at the time of death, and when we transition through the Bardo? What do the visions, hallucinations and feelings mean? How can we create a good rebirth? We can prepare for these states through a number of powerful meditation practices, so that we can overcome our fear at the time of death. These will also help us to live better lives, and support others as they die.

They show how we can become a more loving person, with a more peaceful mind, through following the practices of the path, thus ultimately ensuring that our lives have meaning.
