About the teacher
Geshe Thubten Sherab, a student of Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche since childhood, brings this direct lineage of teachings back to the Blue Mountains in 2023.
Geshe Sherab was born in Nepal of Tibetan parents, and received his education at Kopan Monastery, Nepal, the spiritual center of the FPMT. He completed his studies at Sera Jey Monastic University and at Gyume Tantric College in India. He has lived in the USA working at the FPMT Central office and several nearby Dharma Centers in Taos, New Mexico. Geshe Sherab held the position of headmaster of the Mount Everest School at Kopan Monastery in Nepal, and was appointed to serve as acting abbot of Kopan Monastery for one year. Since 2014, Geshe-la spends six months in each year as resident teacher of Thubten Norbu Ling, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, and six months teaching his students abroad.
