Annual Lam Rim Retreat with Geshe Jamyang, at Chenrezig Institute.
Saturday 2nd January 7am to Friday 15th January 5.30pm
We’ve have made some changes to the annual Lam Rim retreat and are very excited to offer Kopan Downunder, covering the entire Buddhist path from finding a spiritual teacher through to the attainment of enlightenment.
Geshe Jamyang will give a commentary on one of Lama Tsong Khapa’s most famous lam rim texts, Songs of Experience, and the commentary to this text by the 3rd Dalai Lama, Essence of Refined Gold. Venerable Tenzin Tsepal will assist Geshe Jamyang and lead discussion and Q&A sessions.
In a retreat environment, the daily schedule includes teachings, reviews and discussion group, meditations, practice, and service - ‘karma yoga’.
Open to all, it will benefit students of all levels. Don’t be deterred if you are a complete beginner; lots of people over the years have met the dharma through this annual retreat!
Provision is made in the schedule for beginners, with special tutorials and support in discussion groups. Make sure you book soon; this one will fill quickly
Facility Fee: Course cost $420 - 10% discount for FPMT members and concession card holders.
To create the most conducive environment possible for retreat we encourage all participants to stay on site . An accommodation and meals package for the period of retreat has been created to provide participants a 15% discount of our already low prices.
In order to ensure that the maximum number of students have access to these precious teachings most accommodation on site will be shared.
Booking preference will be given to students wishing to attend the entire retreat and we encourage students to book early. A deposit will be required when booking your accommodation
